After years of suffering from depression, anxiety and panic disorder, I have found little ways of caring for myself. Pop culture is the most adaptable, constant and varied self care practice I rely on. I truly believe that engaging with film, television, books, music and theatre can help with loneliness, communication and empathy. I want to tell you about how taking time to enjoy pop culture is my ultimate act of self care, and talk about wider mental health experiences.
